"A Deluge Soak and the Ark" (by Joe DiMino)

A deluge soak
Does more good
Than harm—

Even those
Indiscriminate washes away
Clergy compelled to justify

And then, the tithes—

Drench—deep into the earth…
With the mind, likewise, saturated
Consolidate their slippery surfaces
To substantial pools—

Droplets are axons:

Each one
A messaged sloshed;
Inside and outside
Rivers alike respond—
Crests and troughs
Of sea beckoning
From the unconscious
Conscious waves

Whether God
Or evolution,
Whether both
One in the same

Life’s inevitable
Are the waters for
Change…
