A Fresh Look (by Joe DiMino)

Everyone is a Genius—
especially if
the one
is a politician;
a self-proclaimed God
high on his
Charmer List—

Everyone is a Genius
when it comes to self,
for no one knows more—
speaking of mysteries
Answers
are our least

I’ve said this before:
“too often measuring
one’s worth
by accomplishments
forgetting
all one has avoided
becoming…”

Strange how much
we think of ourselves
rising high above
the seas
mindless of our own
debris

Enamored of
store-bought
pharmaceuticals…
blaming flaws
and sores
on viruses
and accidents
and not
the obvious,
our insidious
counterfeiting
and
polluting
of Mother’s
basic laws….
