"Ah, Love!" (by Joe DiMino)

Ah, Love!
How I never
Tire of you…

Writing of love;

Holding your presence
In my heart
One’s closest deity
Touchable—

You are sovereign subject
Of subordinate pen

Of my Mind
Often out of mind

Heaven and earth
Surrounded by
A thin membrane
Called life—
Such hell outside
Let in
When pierced

Love, you are never
Entirely erased
That undeniable smudge
On paper
Once adhered
A dark spot
On spirit
Till freshly
Replenished

Love, will you ever
Be anything less
Than all for me,
Speaking of center,
Seeing you as core
I doubt?
