"Are There Angels?" (by Joe DiMino)

“Are there angels?” Asked the child:
“What do you want
Me to be? Angel or Mom?
If angel, how many
And how bright should my feathers be?
Shall I be surrounded by light
In the sky
Like your special star?
Or one that follows you, step by step,
And is there wherever you are?

All I can say, if angel or mom,
We both dearly love you
Our prayer, to keep you from harm."
