Be not Green
When it comes
To the energy of love—
Conserve much,
But also conserve
Acting as if
A near bankrupted fool
It is not earth
Kept fertile
For the spirit—
But earth ripened
Into source
Nothing purely as God
Is every changed
Or lost
I sense a greater destiny
Too much to see
And say
In one short life—
So rest your shortages
And dream beyond
Be not Green
When it comes
To the heart
Seek to enjoy
The whole
Never conserving
As if need be desperate
Any part
