"Chris and Me" (by Sissy)

That boy of mine
a joyous child
his laughter, like a drunken sailor
fills my heart with joy
A kindred spirit
At long last
I look in the mirror and there he is
A new clown for this world so full of tears
Chasing cats
Crying for the moon
The happy child awakens in me for the first time
Let him play
Let him laugh
and when our worlds collide
as they often do
Let me remember the child
that lives in me again
at long last
