"Clouds" (by Joe DiMino)

Of the dark clouds
There are silver linings
And some of gold;
Neither bought
Nor sold—
(No speculation
As to blossom or flood)
Some master plan
Loftier then the gamble
Of man;

Could we paint their exteriors
All fluffy-white…

Yet that would not
Take us
Outside the weather;

Away from the pull as with tides

Nor off the slip of plates
Tectonic—

Bless therefore
A floating Spirit-sense;
Within heavy overcast
Of the physical
(Our inescapable Climate)
Such circumstance compels us
To acknowledge (where faith is lacking)
A lighter, brighter defense—
