"Come To My Garden" (by Joe DiMino)

Come to my garden
For the quiet
And the peace;

Come to my garden
For the flowers
And the breeze;

Come to my garden
Sunlight gleaming through
The trees, making dimples
On blossoms
Darling freckles
On leaves—

Come to my garden
Planted just for you;

Come to my garden
When you’re feeling blue—
Full with thorns
And withered leaves,
I’ll prune your roses
Pat their noses
Leaving just
The right drip
Of perfumed dew—

Come to my garden
See butterflies
Flitting by
Dip their wings
In daisies
Then sky—

Come to my garden
Needing just
Your willing eye….
