"Dear Computer" by Joe DiMino
So little lasts these days
to become old enough
to be old-
The disk seems
our new soul
as a society-
save and delete
so easy that way
For omnipotence
marry a programmer;
or become one virtually,
the only death
to fear, magnets
little, crawling magnets,
feeding on
the remains
of your bytes
.
