Flaking Years (by Joe DiMino)
Love the way stars
just seem
to stay up there
pretty as a picture
night after night
I still wonder
no chipping
nor peeling that
I can tell
you scientists
needing no Gorilla Glue
nor stabilizer
like postcards
and photos
canvas
yet to dry to my eyes and heart
going on 67 flaking years
of my own
