Faith is personal-
until one becomes faithful;
then faith is a matter of being
as that Christ we crucified.
The cross
a reminder of our burden;
the wars of time
reminders of souls
lost to the unlearned lessons:
the only thing devout about us
seems our propensity for sin;
and the only thing redeemable
God alone knows-
