"Here To Everywhere" (by Joe DiMino)

Some think a flare only
Crackle and flash-
Briefly a star;
Soon little more than ash,
Singe high
In air-
So little warmth left
We dimly care;

Soon Earth receives her embers

As Heaven receives its souls-
But Limbo wonders
Where light really all goes
A second
After no one knows?

A second after ignition,
From mere point
Of fission or fusion-
A beam in Infinite
Direction-
186,000 miles away;
I dare to say
With confidence,

When no longer thought here

Really here to everywhere-
