“I Watched the Rain Today”(by Joe DiMino)

I watched the rain
Go up today—
Too much spent
On falling;
And the rain
Above the fog
Too fair to be seen
By a naked-eye
Yet thought I
Today to try,
And so focused
Even more
On rising:

I followed high

Delighted by
Ever brighter sky—

And the light I saw
Behind the rain
Was the sum
Of all silver linings—

It was not 
Just rain today
But drop by drop
Closer to God....
