“I'm a Sprinkler”(by Joe DiMino)

To my taste
I’m a sprinkler
(Seeing how spice
Whether solid or otherwise
Is everything in life);
The full appreciation
Of Mozart
Requiring an ear
Of God—
Like the borrow
Of saintly eyes—
Our Michelangelo
A giant of spirit;
Changing textures
Even time-scapes
The context I speak of
Is not mindly
As the intellectual weighing,
Or the discipline
Of a test-tube burner
Dealing with mist
Light and shadows
Really surface fires alone,
It is the inside living out:
Once exposed
That presence each of us uniquely bears
Remains forever
A newly created form
An elevation
To depose
The common death
