"If Not For A Reason, Then Just For The Journey" (by Joe DiMino) As always When feeling scarce I return to the desert- There is resilience here Unsurpassed in the lands Of plenty; lost among The many are not only Individuals, but multitudes; Heat purifies- Wind not only carries away But retrieves- A meditation What one finds In the washes Everything thought high Ends up low- From a speck of pyrite To gold In one hand The bone of a life Is something's world Eroded away The Barrel Cactus Gives me new sacrifice A lesson I will forget again I am certain If not for a reason Then just for the journey Leave a comment
