"Looking Out At The World" (by Joe DiMino)

As I look out at the world
I am also looking in—
These are the flowers
I planted—
A white picket fence
For the soul of my nature projected;
Neatly trimmed grass
Orderly of my thinking…

And the children at play,
My passion to somehow
Go on forever—

It is a Mysticism
Ancestors dreamt of in caves
From which I have never
Fully awakened….
