Lost?
Perhaps—
But if so
To ourselves more,
And those close-minded
To the spirit of a heart,
And its constant warmth
Of beating;

The world knows where
All its children are
As heaven loses track
Of not one of its worlds

Every shadow
Resting beneath its cloud
In place
Certain of the light they both share
Visible only, sometimes,
At those distant edges
Beyond a day….
