"Love Is Enough" by Joe DiMino

There is much to be grateful for,
But the best—is “Gratefulness";

Much to love

But purest when all faces

As my mother with her Unconditional
And my father
With his Foreign Service Blood;

“Love” is rich soil enough:
The staple of the root
And the capture of the fruit
With seed for replenishing—
Out of Love’s spirit
Come the new shoots
And yielding blossoms—
Even the old grape
Recalls the roundness fondly,
Sees the duel nature—
Forgives the sun
And gives up the ghost
With concentrated sweetness….
