Love is illusive
In the sense,
It is acquired
Less through seeking
And more
By surrender—
But the ego
Is last to go;
While the heart
Always first to know—

One can sometimes
Easily fool the mind;
But the heart
Is not of thoughts—
And feeling
Once in motion
Continues to flow,
As to destination
The heart
Always first to know—

The heart first to know
But often last to show:
For fear of rejection
Looks at love
Through a veil—
So what? If
The heart first to know
If courage
To be seen
Never to grow….
