"Love Should Say" (by Joe DiMino)

I could write a poem
A day about love;
Write a poem
How love is above,
And in, I think mythical,
That hell teacher below
Without love
For some
Is the best way to know—

For others, less vocal,
Less godly possessed (unstressed),
Seem quite well
Better hell!
Feet nearer the fire
Yet not a perspire—

Maybe I should retire? (not judge them, not love)

And let love write its own
Sentence or reprieve
For whomever will play
And if deciding not
Not I, the poet,
But love
Should always
Have the last say….
