It was time
For another story—
Midnight Edition
When I am
More inclined to write…
My mind seeming
Lightly adjusted
For darkly silent;
Antique clock
A loud clang of beating—
Awakened
Coming wide-eyed
From death
Where a writer goes
And what he does
Between words….
