"Miracle of Baldness" (by Joe DiMino)

My nose is a trifle large,
And my head
A bit too fleshy—
In fact,
Downright annoying to some
When the light is just right
And I am just wrong,
Reflecting back
When I should be absorbing;

Indeed I have often misread
The miracle of Baldness—
Misread the bare-sacredness
Of the text—
Unlike the eagle
Uncovered and soaring,
Unlike all nature
A-hair, I mean, AWARE of seasons
Finding each
In own-way adoring—

In just one of my
Autumns….
