"Much I Have Forgotten" (by Joe DiMino)

Much I have forgotten-
But I do recall
The eternal,
Your unwavering love;
I recall the infant
Pouring-out…
This vessel of self,
Runny, liquid and naked-
Coming forth with deluge
Of time….
I recall the joy of
The first solid-moment;
My image back at me
From a great pool
At once dissimilar;
And a voice within my head
Fondly speaking
A gibberish
I was yet to define-
And what were these
Appendages I now had?
These wings that fluttered
High on me,
Parted into sweet melodious
Smile,
Took flight
And soared
The questions, endless….
