"My Game Of Hide And Seek" (by Joe DiMino)

My game of Hide and Seek—
Let me see…today
I can be poet,
An easy one for me;
Stacking rhymes high
For cover,
Rounding the lyrics
Mountain-like,
Full and fancy,
For dynamic slides
Runs of trills
The tag of vibrations
A zing when found—

Or a sad work
For myself and others—
I am still doing the writing
With “The heart paining,” that’s a good one!
Breaks that never heal
Widening into Canyons Grand
With grief—
Our game of extended
Hide and Seek
Perhaps will find us today
Or God in our stead
One of us trying to hide
While one of us
Always looking….
