"My Many Jekylls and Hydes" by Joe DiMino

One would think
That after
20 years
The house
Held no secrets…
Yet at night
Still creaks
There are foreign;
And a window
Oft’ rattles
Though a still
And vacant sky,
No ‘copter overhead
To explain why—
Always a complex rest
For the sensitive mind…

But the sensitive mind
By definition less blind;
Less solid,
So aware of
Spirits’ symbols
And signs;
The entrance and egress
Of devils and divines—
In the form where the soul
Resides
Dark and mysterious
In fact, at times
Confounded so delirious
Seem the echoes—
Tenants of ages—
My many Jekylls
And Hydes…
