"On Looking Back" by Joe DiMino

I don’t like to look
Back…
Older now, the head
Doesn’t turn as well
As it once did;
But, the heart—far
More flexible and
Forgiving…

As for God
He seems always
To have been
Out in front of things
Spearheading the charge
In His own evolutionary
Way…
Yes, a devout Christian
Can entirely believe in
Evolution; though the Atheist
By default
Must always partially
Evolve….
