"Once Upon a Time" (by Joe DiMino)

Once upon a time—
Don’t ask me when;
For all tales
Need not have a beginning
Both Spirit Scientists
And Evolutionists
Not quite right
And not quite wrong
Father back than you think
And always further along—
And a story ends
Only after having
Been told—
So if to be a story
All stories
Before they begin
Are old;
Therefore I tell
A middle tale;
That “Once Upon a Time”
Is now, and then—
Every time and every place,
And every when—
And never done;
Without a doubt, “Once Upon a Time”
At the end, in an actual sense
Has just begun….
