"Poet And His Craft" by Joe DiMino

Speak softly
for here sound
can cause a multitude
of slides,
mere whispers
projectiles of volume
if not
cautiously voiced,
provoking not
the least
ambivalent refrain....

I gather my words
making tapestry,
to be hung
for all to see,
transparent
till the wall
where we must pause,
forced to listen,
the visual aspect
of good poetry
only eclipsed
by its music.
