"Pure Poetry" by Joe DiMino.

Pure poetry…
With poetry that is not so pure;
Adulterated—off-beat
Rhymes harshly taught to each other—
Lost Imagery!
Oh for a sign,
A place of common recovery—
Where some Good Samaritan
Can drop off
A heart found on a beach,
Or a bucket of tears
For the Love-dehydrated;

I lie on lukewarm-sand;
Looking up at the sky—
Count the light and dark clouds;
Talk form of their varied shapes
As one talks clay
To the creator:
Which one today
Will pause over me,
Perhaps follow me around?
I trace lit edges
To the backside
Where I know the sun must be—
Not wishing for a Silver Lining
But only
Some small answer
We can all at once
Agree upon—
