(by Joe DiMino)

How strange the familiar
when light is gone;
finding one's self
in dark, alone;
nothing left
but a crust of frost-
a stale feeling
when love is lost.

The pain!-the heartache!
Oh, what a shame!
where once was comfort
now only blame;
a dark crystal
covering the eye,
leaving only shadows
passing with a sigh....
