"Some Things Are Just Timeless" (by Joe DiMino)

Some things are just timeless:
Apple pie baking-
Oh! That immortal cinnamon,
Whiff Whiff….
Like all harvests,
When one feels
Full and complete
As the grain
And the orchards
After the youthful bloom
And tender caring-
I come back to you
Wherever the day
Has led me-
The fullness in my heart
And mind
All of you
I trace
The tilling
And planting
Kiss after kiss
My tongue over
Each melon,
Finger by finger
Inhaling deeply
The suptle shoots
Of your hands-
We are so tactile…
And then, a divine fruit
Such combination
I can imagine
Envy of both
Serpents
And Gods-
