Something About A Sunny Day(by Joe DiMino)
Something about a sunny day
That makes me want to step-out,
Lather myself with rays,
Rump abouta complete spectacle
Hoping some blaze-of-a-girl will take
Spring-notice, lie down in the blooms
With me,
Equally enthusiastic about pollinating;
Then again, it is the showers
Consolidating all my random
Drops into a single, bona fide purpose;
My run-off spectacular as a surfers
Monumental wave
Of a wet-dream;
But the snow
Brings all perspective back
To thoughtful reason
Reminding me
Of the need for true closeness
And lasting relationships
.
