It is the same song
Old as time--
Song of the heart
By boy and girl;
Sung for sadness
Sung for joy;

The same song
For woman and man--
Planning and dreaming
Plotting and scheming,
A song sung
Both well know
When holding
And letting go;

The same song
Of mother and child--
God above
Down to earth
Purest love--
The same song
A lifetime long--
Love gone good
Love gone wrong…
