"Steps" (by Joe DiMino)

I walk in light
Embraced by God
From out of the night
He came along
Reached out His hand
And led me on
Taught me to love
And the dark
Was gone

I walk in light
All shadows flee
Was never meant
For me
He sent His Son
We suffered Him so
From tears to joy
Washed clean
By flow

I walk in the light
Hand in hand
Daughter in mother
Son in man
Children we are
His precious brew
Uncovered in light
All is new

All is God
Focus out and in
All is love
Dispelled the lie
Of sin
There are no losers
Of this I know
I walked away
But He
Never let go

(Now, read poem backwards, starting with last line)
