The romance
Of long ago days;

Themselves nostalgic
In sweet endearing
Ways—

Ways of poetry,
Art, theater
Nearer the heart;

Ways when lovers chose
Death rather than part—

A foreign concept
In a modern, electronic
Arm’s-length-age—

Cell phones, emails,
Computer sex,
The Technophile’s
Latest symbolic
Stage….
