"The Caterpillar Said To The Wings" by Joe DiMino

One needs to see
More than endings—
Dying, a limp tail-wagging
(A superficial climax)—
The source
Of waves
Making motion
Outside periphery
Of Naked Eyes—

Truth is
There are only

And spring immortal

As the caterpillar
Said to the wings
Outside the tomb:
Look at us now!
