And if I manage
To forget you dear
I pray not forget
I'm a loving man;
For loving men do
What little
Loving men
Can do-and that is,
To protect the heart
When the loving
Is through…

So, this tear means nothing
And next one too;
And this day is just
The day before
After loving you-

Until that day
Unlike any day
When the heart
Reawakes, as if love is new-

So, affirming
The greatest truth my dear

To protect the heart

Often, only a lie
