The miracle of Christmas—
Much more than lights and gifts,
Pine-scent in the air…

Much more than smiles
On darling little faces—

A star atop the tree—

Not looking down
But calling up: “Rise,
And see with Me!”

No seed forsaken…

Your shell not Mine
But created by thee,
Penetrated by My Son,
The Christ (His blood shed)—
Open thy hands,
And from thy palms
Will lift My dove,
Your spirit immortal,
With wings of eternity….
