The Prey Of Time (by Joe DiMino)

The snow-
cool and white-
crisp and fresh-
in the moonlight
a black cat
crosses the path,
and I think:
'such a cruel rap
this critter has gotten!'-
sleek and hushed like the snow
seeking to enter every crevice
reminded by the wind
to cover ground
quickly as possible
nothing outside the prey of time….
