 “The Proud Old Eagle”(by Joe DiMino)

The Proud Old Eagle
Clipped by years
Could not soar
The mammoth sky—
Stayed to the tree-tops
Dove less far;
His game smaller,
A rabbit or rat
To get by…

Speaking of, Golden, Senior’ years:
With climbing a struggle
And the falling quite hard—
Prey of hospitals
And politicians—
Blood suckers and vultures
Of the two-legged kind…
