"There Is A Time" (by Joe DiMino)

There is a time
Between dusk and dawn
When the moon,
Possessed of night,
Bears her surface shadows
In light-

Sad her folly,
Lost mothers know;
For cores of evil
Will never glow;
Not even darkly so-

And the sun,
Entranced of bright,
Dare not look
Directly in eye
When questioning his light;
Such vision will only fry,
And cores of evil
Will never cry-
Were they inclined
To try-

What hideous mill!
With contempt
I define-
Between shadow and light
The bloody mash
Is mine!
