"Thine Own Self" (by Joe DiMino)

"Thine own self be true"--
If that same truth
Be found in the word of God;
If that same self
Be modeled after Him
Who modeled Day and Night--
The mystery of Starlight;
Always turning
Never still
Having Divine will for motion;
Bright then dim
But never gone--
Only the soul
Can harbor dark;

Lies--firmly death;
Decided by mind
In absence of the heart;
By men
Having made of themselves
Temples of worship,
God-check at the door…
