"Tired Of Wars" (by Joe DiMino)

Like many

I'm tired of war

Some will

never forget their loss

the missing arms to hold them

the missing limbs

to manipulate and support

compacting

lifetimes into hours

horrible seconds

caskets

and flowers.

Blame every poet

who writes of war

from his modest

but safe room;

every artist

who paints

with red dye of the earth

and not his own blood;

every Christian

for service to pews

and not his nation;

every Jew

and Moslem

who never do anything wrong.
