"Transcending" (by Joe DiMino)

The moon sang
Its usual song last night
In Tongues;
For the moon
Has heard it all
On love and hate…
Has witnessed
In every accent
The fond—the berate;

But I would not hum along—

Wanting more than bi-light

Believing more than light to borrow

Holding-out for light
Without sorrow….
