What is a man’s worth?—
Likened to seed:
What is one growth?
A drop’s worth
Of rain?—
And then
A world of wind
Against a tiny
Reed….
What is enough
When all
In need?
What is sacrifice
If never
To stop
The bleed?
What is
The cost
Of love?
Despite the pain
To go on
Trying
(and forgiving)
While
The heart
Seems endlessly
Sighing….
