"Who Calls?" by Joe DiMino
The poet hears
The faintest whisper;
Becomes a living cadence
And echo of such distant
Inner voiceanswers back
Out of the dream:
Who calls but the heart and soul
And who follows
But the I
The voices of good and evil
Makes profound
By their calling:
We conquer and divide
For the only ears and answer
That of the I
Who calls but the Charmer, Sound,
As I listen
Then sing outI
