"Yesterday Was A Cloud Day" (by Joe DiMino)

Yesterday was a cloud-day--
Not in-your-face overcast!
But explore-the-shapes
Kind of day--see what the
Mind contrives
And soul attempts to resolve…

Soul! The feeling-self instilled
In things outside of ourselves--
The inanimate
And animate we explore--
The weave of subatomic
Threads, in and out,
We sometimes call spirit--
The microscope of self
We focus,
Or with lens turned outward,
To exterior light
Becomes a laser,
Not of transformation
But carbon-demise....
