"Tapestries" (by Joe DiMino)

I have seen the living
Move about
A mindless manner;

Loveless in their

Exhibiting no desire
To dream—

Ah! But to dare dream
As Shakespeare

While longer arm of law
Freedom from the body
Of jurisdiction
Could such spirit
Escape the coils?

As Poe wove
His tapestries of shadows,
Confounding day
With night—
So we confound God
To ever
If never seeing ourselves
And only
A featureless face
